Last night my dog was terrified by the fireworks going off nearby, I'm sure tonight will be even worse.

Bad enough that I had to work on 4th of July (I worked 1/2 assed really because dangit-it is unpatriotic to work on the 4th of July!) but I didn't even get to see real fireworks! I knew that I would miss it this year because I planned to stay in the village just to see what it was like.
There was tug of war, balloon toss, bean bag toss, frisbee golf, a parade, really good food AND AND here is how the fireworks went:
All year this place saves bubble wrap and on the 4th of July they pile it all in a room, I should have taken a picture of it and while watching fire works on a screen they pop bubble wrap.
It is so wierd.
I think I would take the 4th out of the village next time. I like real fire works!
